How to make a QR code
- Choose the type: Link, UPI, Wi-Fi, Text, Phone or Email.
- Fill in the details. The QR code updates as you type.
- Pick colours if you like. Keep the code dark and the background light.
- Choose High error correction for print, especially if the code may get scratched or folded.
- Download as PNG for screens and social media, or SVG for printing.
- Scan it with two or three different phones before you print or share it.

Printing tips
- Leave a quiet white border around the code. The download already includes one.
- For a counter card, print the code at least about 3 × 3 cm. Banners viewed from a distance need a much bigger code.
- Shorter links make simpler codes that scan faster. Avoid very long URLs with lots of parameters where you can.
- Don’t put the code on a glossy, curved or reflective surface without testing first.
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. These are static QR codes: the link or details are stored inside the code itself, with no redirect service in between. They keep working for as long as the link, UPI ID or Wi-Fi details stay the same.
Can I create QR codes in bulk?
Yes. Choose Bulk, paste one link or text per line (up to 500) and optionally a file name after ” | “, like https://example.com/menu?table=4 | table-4. You get a ZIP with every code as PNG or SVG, plus a CSV list of what each code contains.
Can I make a UPI payment QR code here?
Yes. Choose UPI, enter your UPI ID and payee name, and optionally a fixed amount and note. Any UPI app like Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm can scan it. Always test with a small payment before printing.
Is it safe to put my Wi-Fi password in a QR code?
The password is stored in the code as plain text, so anyone who scans it can join that network. Use it for a guest network, not the one your office systems run on.
PNG or SVG?
PNG works everywhere: WhatsApp, Instagram, Word and Canva. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, which is best for printing on banners, standees and packaging.
Can I track how many people scan my code?
Not with a static code. To count scans, point the QR code to a page link with UTM parameters, and the visits will show in Google Analytics.
