Custom Extractor
Paste a list of URLs, tell the tool what to look for with a CSS selector, XPath or Regex, and get the result for every page in one table. Use it to check H1s, prices, schema types, tracking IDs, authors or anything else in the page source, then download it as a CSV.
Custom extractor
What to extract
Works on the HTML your server sends, before JavaScript runs. CSS selectors and XPath run on the parsed page, Regex runs on the raw HTML (the first capture group is returned if you use one).
How to use the custom extractor
- Paste up to 200 page URLs, one per line. Pages of the same type (all product pages, or all blog posts) work best.
- Add up to 5 extractors. Pick a preset or write your own: give it a column name, choose CSS, XPath or Regex, and enter the expression.
- Choose what to return: Text, Inner HTML, an Attribute or a Count.
- Click Extract data and download the CSV when it finishes.
Example expressions
- CSS:
h1,.product-price,meta[property="og:title"]with attributecontent - XPath:
//div[@class="author"]/a,count(//img[not(@alt)]) - Regex:
"sku"\s*:\s*"([^"]+)"returns the SKU from JSON-LD
Ideas for SEO checks
- Find product pages with no price or a missing H1.
- Check that every page has your GA4 or GTM ID installed.
- List the publish date and author of every blog post.
- See which schema types each template uses.

Frequently asked questions
What can I extract?
Anything that is in the page’s HTML: headings, prices, SKUs, author names, dates, meta tags, schema types, analytics or Meta Pixel IDs, link and image counts. Choose Text, Inner HTML, an Attribute (like href or content) or a Count of matches.
CSS selector, XPath or Regex: which should I use?
CSS selectors are the easiest, for example h1, .price or meta[name=”author”]. XPath is useful for things CSS can’t do, like count(//a) or matching by text. Regex searches the raw HTML, which is handy for IDs inside scripts. With Regex, the first capture group ( ) is returned.
How do I find the right CSS selector?
Open the page in Chrome, right-click the element and choose Inspect. In the Elements panel, right-click the highlighted line and choose Copy > Copy selector. Shorter selectors based on a class name usually work across more pages.
Why is a column empty?
Either the selector doesn’t match, or the content is added by JavaScript after the page loads. This tool reads the HTML the server sends, like most crawlers do on their first pass.
How many pages and extractors can I use?
Up to 200 URLs and 5 extractors per run, with up to 100 matches per extractor on each page. Your extractors are remembered in this browser for next time.
Is it OK to extract data from other websites?
Use it on your own sites, client sites, or public pages for research such as competitor SEO checks. Respect each site’s terms and don’t collect personal data. The tool fetches only 3 pages at a time and, by default, identifies itself as 93DigitalBot.
